Since opening our practice over 40 years ago, we have created a caring and private setting to ensure that you and your child are always comfortable throughout your visit. We are strong believers that communication is key to creating a trustful bond with our patients that last a lifetime and leads to better diagnosis and treatment. From the moment you walk in our doors, every one of our staff members, from the front desk to your doctor, is committed to your well-being and giving the best care possible.
Whether you come in for a routine check up or symptoms of strep throat or the flu, our staff will take care of you and your child every step of the way. We also have a medication telephone line for convenient prescription refills.

To schedule an appointment, please call 570-523-3264. Please be advised if you arrive fifteen minutes or more past your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule. We will do all we can to accommodate requests, however, we must also keep in mind the schedules and acuity of other patients. Saturday morning appointments are available for acute illnesses only.
It is the office policy to collect payment (including co-pays) at the time services are rendered. Our practice participates with many insurance plans. If we do not participate with yours, we expect payment at the time of service. We will be happy to file your claim for services if you have given us all the required and correct information. Should disputes regarding payments arise, we may require your assistance in communicating information to your insurance company.
Dismissal from our care is at our discretion, and may occur in lieu of excessive debt owed past due dates, repeated missed or tardy appointments without communication, unruly or unsafe behavior, noncompliance with medical advice, or other unforeseen circumstances deemed not to be congruent with office policies.

Elam R. Stoltzfus, MD
Dr. Stoltzfus graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and did a rotating internship at the Harrisburg Hospital. He spent the next five years working as a medical missionary in Belize. He returned to the Unites States and completed a pediatric residency at the Geisinger Medical Center. He is board certified in pediatrics and member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He opened his practice in Lewisburg in August 1976.
David M. Castellan, MD
Dr. Castellan graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine in 1988. He successfully completed a residency in Pediatrics at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, Virginia in 1991. He served as pediatrician for the US Navy from 1991-1999. He also has had multiple teaching appointments and has been involved in the education of medical students, interns, and residents. He is board certified pediatrician. Dr. Castellan joined Lewisburg Pediatrics in October 1999.
Laura E. Fishel-Webb MSN, CPNP, CRNP
Laura joined Lewisburg Pediatrics in 2014 after practicing in Los Angeles for almost twelve years. She is a Pennsylvania native who obtained her undergraduate nursing degrees from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Laura graduated amongst the top of UCLA’s master’s program and is thrilled to bring her expertise back to Pennsylvania. Passionate about nutrition and exercise, she enjoys dance, yoga, and remodeling her farmhouse when not in the office. Laura is the proud mother of her daughter, Isabella, and looks forward to helping each patient achieve their wellness goals.
Jennifer Trygar MSN, CRNP
Jennifer graduated with a degree in nursing in 2010 and worked as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Geisinger Medical Center from 2010-2017. She graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2016 with a Master of Science in Nursing. Jennifer is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She joined Lewisburg Pediatrics in March 2017.
Kara L. Taylor MSN, CRNP
Kara graduated with a degree in nursing in 2004 and worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Geisinger Medical Center from 2004-2005 then worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Geisinger Medical Center from 2006-2012. She graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2011 with a Master of Science in Nursing. Kara is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She joined Lewisburg Pediatrics in March 2018. Kara has two boys, Gavin and Grayson. When she is not working, she enjoys family time with her husband, children, and dogs. Together they enjoy time fishing, hiking in the woods and playing soccer. Kara takes pride in caring for her family and looks forward to caring for your family too.
